Learning Opportunities with the Tarot Working with the Tarot is a bit like playing the board game “Othello” in that it takes “a minute to learn, a lifetime to master.”
While it is true that the Tarot is an ancient system of symbols and meanings, it can be understood by anyone with a willingness to use their mind to grasp a few basic principles and to use their heart to guide the intuitive voice. Exploration of the Tarot leads one to examine the everyday details of living as well as the vast and perennial questions concerning the nature of existence. Most students would agree that their Tarot studies benefit them in many areas of life beyond having simply learned what each card signifies. September Classes in Portland Maine
Two evening meetings have been scheduled during September
for reading practice, learning opportunities, sharing,
and just plain fun.
Thursday September 23rd: "Different Deck" Night
Each participant will bring a non-Rider/Waite deck to the class. (I know that many of you have more than one Tarot deck!) We will use each of the different decks, one at a time, with each person posing the identical question to each deck as its turn comes around. In this manner we’ll be exposed to various interpretations of the Tarot and have a chance to address the same query to different decks.
Will the same answer come through consistently? Will we see our question through a new lens? Will we receive many different answers to the same question? Come to this new class and find out!
Tuesday September 28th: Your Personal Tarot Profile
Using Mary Greer’s system of viewing your date of birth as a goldmine
of information about your life path, we will explore the specific correlations
of your date of birth to various cards in the Tarot that speak to your unique skills, abilities, challenges, opportunities, and life lessons. You’ll see your own connection to the symbols of the Tarot in a much more personal way after
this class.
This topic is being presented again after a successful summer class and numerous requests for a repeat offering.
A copy of your natal astrology chart will be needed for this class;

**These parameters will be true for both classes:
1. Class will begin at 6:30pm and end around 8:45pm.
2. Cost for each class/group will be $25.
3. You must sign up in advance, at the latest, by noon the day of the class.
4. Class size will be limited to six participants max, and will require three participants as a minimum. If there is a particular class in which you REALLY want to participate, make sure to sign up early so that you don’t get shut out. If it happens that we don’t meet the minimum number for any class, that night’s event will be cancelled.
5. IMPORTANT ** If you’ve signed up for a class, you will be held responsible for payment for that class unless you cancel by noon the day of the group. This helps keep the number of participants in each class equitable for all concerned. Register for any of these group or classes
