In the year 2021, we are unable to
visit the world’s sacred places.
But we still can travel to them, experience their magic, hear their story, and learn from them.
Jeanne Fiorini and Margaret Jones present a series of virtual travel events, each one focusing on a particular pilgrimage site. The itinerary will send us to Petra in Jordan, Newgrange in Ireland, Saint Brigid's Well in Kildare (Ireland), the midlands of Scotland, and Stonehenge in Salisbury England.
These journeys will be presented as live guided tours, and will also be offered as recordings available for purchase after the presentation.
Stonehenge, Petra, and Mythical Scotland journeys are now available!

“The Virtual Pilgrimages are wonderful opportunities to hear the sacred story of a place and through the reflection of tarot images drawn in response to wise questions, learn how the stories resonate in our lives at this time. "
.... Carol F, California
THE LIVE VIRTUAL TRAVEL SERIES WILL RESUME IN THE FALL OF 2021.
IN THE MEANTIME, RECORDINGS OF THE FIRST FIVE VIRTUAL JOURNEYS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE.
See the panel to the right for more info about the journeys which have been posted, and how to purchase.
Each journey blends the mythology, history, and legends contained in the landscape with a series of images and guided prompts, all designed to transport travelers into another time and space. As we wend our way across these mythical landscapes, we will create a personal travel log of our experience. We will use Tarot cards, personal reflection, short rituals, and journaling to deepen our understanding of these magical places and of ourselves.
"You are being transformed as you travel. If I am revisiting a destination,
I am affected once again by the landscape or the carvings, sometimes in a different or deeper way. These journeys certainly don’t replace real travel, but they remind me how important it is for me to have meaningful travels. "
..... Margaret H, Maine
FOR EACH RECORDING:
Preliminary instructions, recorded presentation, and follow-up processing work included:
A pilgrimage to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Petra, Jordan.
As we travel to this mysterious and magnificent location, we will be awed by the size and scope of a civilization which has existed since the time
of Moses. We will walk an ancient road carved through the mountains, and learn about the Nabateans and the remarkable engineering skills that created a thriving desert culture. While the interior of The Treasury is closed to the public, we will walk the sacred pathway of the Siq and experience a city where the dead are as much a part of the citizenry as the living.
An ancient land steeped in history and incredible beauty.
We begin at the ancient capital city of Edinburgh where we pay homage to the witches and healers who perished there in past centuries. Onward we go to Rosslyn Chapel (home of the Holy Grail?) and then along the western gateway to the sacred Isle of Iona. We then travel north to the Highlands, where the Goddess Cailleach rules the mountaintops. Our final destination, the Callanish Standing Stones, is where we will honor the moon and conduct a ritual to remember our ancestors.
Visit this iconic monument and its environs on the Salisbury Plain.
There is much more to the Stonehenge story than the standing stones. There are innumerable mounds, barrows, ditches, circles, as well as evidence of a "long skull" population which may have presided over the area in the long-distant past. We explore some of these mysteries, and end this pilgrimage with a sunrise ceremony at the Summer Solstice.
