In the year 2021, we are unable to visit the world’s sacred places. But we still can travel to them, experience their magic, hear their story, and learn from them.
Over the next several months, Jeanne Fiorini and Margaret Jones will be presenting
a series of Zoom workshops, each one focusing on a particular pilgrimage site.
The itinerary will send us to Petra in Jordan, Newgrange in Ireland, Glastonbury in Somerset England, Saint Brigid's Well in Kildare (Ireland), and Anglesey, Wales.
The fourth leg of this five-part series will be a pilgrimage to the magical isle of Scotland. This is a land of incomparable beauty and contrast - from the majesty of her mountain peaks to the gentle curves of her island shores.
We will travel as pilgrims along the sacred paths as did our ancestors, revering the many and varied faces of spirit. We will hear the tale of the warrior Picts, the “painted ones” who left their mark in stone. We then travel on to Edinburgh where powerful witches practiced their craft of healing, and we will pay homage to those healers who died at Edinburgh Castle.
The journey continues to Rosslyn Chapel where it is said the Knights Templar buried the Holy Grail; and then trek through the mountains ruled by the great Goddess Cailleach. We’ll sail on to the Inner Hebrides Islands, and hear the stories of the magical seahorses called Kelpies and the mystical seals called Selkies. We conclude this pilgrimage on the Isle of Lewis where we will conduct a ritual near the second largest stone circle in Europe, the Callinish standing stones.
During this pilgrimage we will pause along the way for personal reflection, and by using the Tarot, will receive guidance and clarity about our own inner journey. As we wend our way across this mythical landscape, we will create a personal travel log of our experience.
No travel experience or knowledge of the Tarot is required.
Come along as we explore the inner and outer pathways!
